ARTHAANU ENGINE
What is Arthaanu?
Arthaanu is the open, domain-agnostic semantic transduction engine underneath Memuron. Where a vector database treats embeddings as primary and a graph database treats edges as primary, Arthaanu treats the semantic object as primary.
Words, tags, facts, relations, and embeddings are different encodings of the same durable object. The engine identifies objects, records provenance, evolves meaning through lifecycles, and exposes derived projections for fast retrieval.
RAW INPUT TO DURABLE MEANING TO OUTPUT - EVERY STEP TRACED
The engine and the product
Memuron imports ArthaEngine directly and wraps it. Arthaanu owns the ledger, embeddings, lifecycle math, and projection runtime; Memuron owns tenancy, spaces, ingest jobs, the Guardian, and the developer-facing API.
APP
Memuron
Tenancy, spaces, collections, ingest jobs, REST and MCP
ENGINE
ArthaEngine
Encoders, decoders, lifecycles, retrieval and projection runtime
LEDGER
ArthaStore
Append-only semantic event ledger: identity, audit, replay
Useful analogy. Arthaanu is the generic engine. Memuron is the product layer built around it, with security boundaries, async queues, product APIs, and defaults.
Sound primitives
A0
ArthaStore
Append-only ledger with durable identity, history, audit, and replay.
API
ArthaEngine
Registries for encoders, decoders, lifecycles, projections, and CRUD routing.
EMB
FastEmbed
Native local deterministic embeddings without a per-read external round trip.
RRF
Retrieval math
BM25, cosine similarity, and Reciprocal Rank Fusion as reusable primitives.
What Arthaanu leaves to you
- The ontology: products register their own semantic types.
- The ranking policy: the engine ships the math; the product chooses thresholds and fallbacks.
- Auth and tenancy: the product wires the auth context into every operation.
